Dr Naomi Murphy, Consultant Clinical & Forensic Psychologist and Clinical Director of the Fens Offender Personality Disorder Pathway Service based in the high secure prison, HMP Whitemoor.

I have worked with offenders for more than 20 years and currently head up a service offering an innovative treatment programme to male Life Sentenced prisoners who were previously considered to be “untreatable” by virtue of their “psychopathy”.  Men accessing this service have typically had their own horrendous histories of trauma and neglect and find it difficult to reveal their vulnerabilities. Working with these men entails enabling them to find ways to share their stories and begin to reconnect with their full repertoire of emotions and work on barriers to emotional intimacy.
